LWIS City International School Beirut

The Integration and Support Department (ISD)

Research clearly indicates that the use of individualized teaching and learning is needed in order to nurture learners’ multiple intelligences and to accommodate their learning styles; hence the use of active and cooperative learning. These teaching and learning strategies are employed to implement the multi-level system so that challenged learners are supported and gifted learners are enriched.

Modified and Individualized Educational Programs (IEP) are offered to meet each learner’s academic potential. Qualified and certified Special Education experts are hired to ensure the highest standards in fulfilling the special needs of the learner population in an inclusive approach. We provide support for learners with specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia, mild developmental delays, and attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder, in addition to those with lack of or gaps in academic, social, emotional and behavioral skills.

My review is about another branch (hazmieh)! Recently with fuel crisis and crazy traffic near gas stations, we arrived 5 minutes late to school and me and my son were kicked out with any compassion with a 5 yr old who told the principal he will b sad if he missed his class today! The BOT chair of all lwis network also did not bother to ask the principal to at least call and apologize or even try to make my son feel better about the whole situation! They claim to be building our kid’s personality, then oppress them in this cruel way!

CIS has helped my children both with special needs. They are a good special needs school that understands what children need and gives them the support required to excel in life. They have been followed up with their teachers and I appreciated the care. I would recommend it to any parent looking for specialized care for their child with learning difficulties.
